Peterbilt Motors Company, 1700 Woodbrook Street, Denton, TX 76205
Certain tractors equipped with 20K steerable pusher axles were built with total air capacity that is 3.7-8.9% less volume than required to meet CMVSS 121 requirements.
Insufficient air volume may lead to reduced service brake performance which could increase the risk of a crash.
A programming error incorrectly identified the brake chamber used in the vehicle, thus resulting in an incorrect calculation of the air volume requirement.
