In accordance with the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Act, PACCAR Inc has determined to recall the vehicles below.
Peterbilt Motors Company, 1700 Woodbrook Street, Denton, TX 76205
High voltage interlock loop (HVIL) disruptions open high voltage contactors on battery electric powertrain.
Open high voltage contactors create a sudden loss of high voltage. Open electrical contactors cause a loss of propulsion and may increase the risk of a crash.
Interruptions as short as 10ms may cause a loss of signal and open the electrical contacts with the current design of the circuit. A key cycle does not reset the contactors.

Affected vehicle owners will be notified and dealers will update software and replace an electrical harness free of charge. Owners who incurred costs to obtain a remedy for the problem addressed by the recall in advance of receiving notification may seek reimbursement through the process outlined in the general reimbursement plan on file.
