Assembling a Diverse Workforce

Peterbilt is committed to a highly qualified workforce that’s able to successfully grow its business while driving innovation through collaboration and a diversity of perspectives. In its pledge to diversity and excellence, Peterbilt has established a Diversity Council, as well as the Peterbilt Women’s Initiative (PBWIN) and the Veterans Group.

Key Diversity Initiatives
Diversity Council

The Diversity Council is committed to recruiting, developing and promoting a diverse workforce while providing equal opportunities and career paths for all employees. Their mission is to cultivate an inclusive environment that fosters creativity, productivity and mutual respect where all people feel like they belong and can succeed.

In alignment with the PACCAR Diversity charter, the organization’s areas of focus are Train, Outreach, Develop, and Champion – all of which are concentrated on solving business problems with diversity elements.

Peterbilt Women’s Initiative

Peterbilt Women's Initiative (PBWIN) is comprised of Peterbilt employees who come together to inspire and develop women. Currently, the organization has more than 100 members and advocates who are dedicated to championing the empowerment of women at Peterbilt.

Empowerment of local students and individuals is an outreach initiative of PBWIN. The organization frequently visits local primary and secondary schools to promote STEAM education.

Veterans Group

The Veterans Group works collaboratively with the Diversity Council to promote and support Peterbilt’s efforts to recognize and enhance diversity in its workforce. The organization acts as a communal place for Peterbilt employees who are either veterans or veteran supporters.
