Built around Peterbilt’s signature all-aluminum cab, the 382 is lightweight yet strong for maximum durability. Huck-bolted with lap seam construction, it offers years of virtually watertight performance. The durable Metton® hood is optimized for road and construction sites, withstanding impacts that would shatter or crack other materials.
Fuel-Efficient and Environmentally Sound
With a variety of engine options, the Model 382 delivers a perfect blend of fuel efficiency and horsepower to the vocational market. The fuel-efficient Cummins ISL9 engine has one of the highest power-to-weight ratios in its class, while the Cummins Westport ISL G is available for CNG/LNG tank configurations.
Heavy-Duty Vocational Options
In congested urban environments and tight loading and unloading conditions, the 382’s 50-degree wheel cut improves maneuverability. Available with a selection of lightweight suspensions, including the Low Air Leaf, the 382 provides a smooth, controlled ride and excellent braking and steering characteristics.
Where Form and Function work
Every detail in Peterbilt’s medium duty interior has been thoughtfully designed to create a comfortable and productive working environment. The ergonomic dash features LED backlit gauges that are easy to read, a driver information display for critical vehicle data, and rocker switches within easy reach. An in-mold process embeds color directly onto the dash for a long-lasting finish, virtually eliminating fading, scratching and peeling.
