Peterbilt Motors Company does not offer grants or scholarships to attend technical schools.  Please call your local independently owned Peterbilt Dealership in your area and ask if their location is willing to sponsor you or assist you financially
The trucking industry continues to be in need of qualified service technicians.  Obtaining a certificate or Associate Degree in Diesel Technology should provide you with the necessary background to enter work at any dealership.

If you require drawings, please note that all truck technical drawings are proprietary and we are not allowed to distribute them.  Body builder manuals are available on this site, under Peterbilt Life, Resources, and Manuals.
 
If you require line drawings, or wiring diagrams, please fill out the Parts and Service Request form, and be sure to include your chassis number.

We do not provide build and line sheet information on our website. We would suggest contacting the parts department of your local Peterbilt dealership which can obtain this information through PACCAR Parts Research by requesting a copy of the chassis bill of materials. Your dealer also has access to ECAT which has the same information.

Unfortunately, there are too many variables that come into play when fuel economy is discussed.  The list of variables include but are not limited to the following:

- The driver
- Added externally mounted components such as fender mounted mirrors
- Engine
- Transmission
- Rear axle and rear axle ratio
- Tires chosen
- Road conditions
- Operating area (is it hilly or flat)
- Environmental conditions

- Weight of the vehicle and payload

To help you judge the value of the vehicle, there is both the Truck and Trailer Blue Book and the NADA Value guides.  You can contact Truck & Trailer Blue Book at 1-800-654-6776 or www.bluebookvalues.com.  The NADA e-valuator for commercial trucks tech support line is 1-800-544-6232. 
Many financial institutions use one or both of these guides or their own method.  You can also visit the Peterbilt dealer of your choice and ask for an appraisal.  Some dealers may charge for this, if you are not selling or trading the truck with them.
