Peterbilt’s Premium interiors feature the revolutionary new SmartNav system, an in-dash telematics and infotainment system specifically designed for the truck industry.

SmartNav features a 7-inch touch screen that provides real-time vehicle monitoring, truck navigation, hands-free Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition, and more.  The system features an integrated audio system with satellite radio as well as MP3 and iPod capabilities with an internal storage space of 8 Gigabytes.

SmartNav Home Screen

The home screen features six “hotbuttons” along the bottom of the screen allowing one-touch access to key features of the SmartNav system.

SmartNav Monitoring

Six virtual gauges provide real-time measurements of vehicle data such as fuel flowrate, pressure and horsepower usage and helps the driver monitor the system when warnings are displayed using the J1939 SAE standard. Drivers can also view up to 4 cameras that can be attached to the vehicle as well as a hybrid monitoring systemwhen applicable.

SmartNav Connectivity

For customers with a modem, use the touch screen to open the internet browser to easily connect with Peterbilt Customer Care, PACCAR Parts or PACCAR Financial.

SmartNav Navigation

The Garmin truck-specific navigation system maps routes that consider trucking parameters, such as bridge heights and weight restrictions. This PACCAR-exclusive feature also highlights Peterbilt-specific points of interest.

SmartNav Maps

Full color maps are easy to read and allow the user to zoom in and pan out.

SmartNav Telephone

Fully voice-recognition enabled, the phone feature logs calls and stores contact information for those using a Bluetooth paired device.

SmartNav Audio

The unit features AM/FM/Weatherbands, radio data streaming, Sirius satellite radio for subscribers, an MP3 capable CD player, USB port for memory devices containing MP3 or audio files, iPod capabilties and Bluetooth A2DP audio streaming from enabled Bluetooth devices.

SmartNav Tools

A calculator and alarm clock are available, as well as a video feature, that allows the use of an external device, such as an iPod.

SmartNav Setup and Preferences

The driver can program the system settings and controls as well as select a preferred language from English, Spanish (Mexico) and French (Canadian).
