DENTON, Texas  (February 4, 2009) – Peterbilt Motors Company has continued its long-standing partnership with the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) to offer their members rebates of up to $1,500 for qualified new Peterbilt vehicles purchased in 2009.

These special incentives include a $1,000 cash rebate directly from Peterbilt and an additional $500 cash rebate directly from PACCAR Parts, with the purchase of $1,000 or more Mirrex accessories. Qualified vehicles include the Model 389, Model 388, Model 387 or Model 386 with a factory installed 63" or 70" sleeper, or a Model 387 with a factory installed sleeper.

Peterbilt Aerodynamic Vehicles Eligible for Rebate

• Peterbilt’s Aerodynamic SmartWay vehicles, the Model 387 and Model 386. The premium Model 387 is designed for superior aerodynamic efficiency. The integrated cab and sleeper, rounded crown of the grille, dramatically sloped hood and fenders as well as a contoured sunvisor and roof fairing all contribute to the Model 387’s fuel-efficient performance.
• The Model 386 blends conventional Peterbilt styling with advanced technology and fuel efficient aerodynamic performance. A dramatically sloped hood, swept-back fenders, a contoured bumper and sunvisor as well as optional roof fairings and side trim tabs enhance aerodynamic efficiency.

Peterbilt Traditional Vehicles Eligible for Rebate

• Peterbilt’s new traditional truck models, the Model 389 and Model 388, feature improved aerodynamic performance, styling, durability, serviceability and forward lighting. The distinctive look and aerodynamic performance of the Model 389 and Model 388 are achieved through all-new, durable aluminum hoods, a new one-piece aluminum surround with a punched-oval pattern grille and polished aluminum grille bars, polished-aluminum fender reinforcements and innovative headlamps.
