Year after year, Peterbilt has set and met important goals to phase out environmentally relevant harmful substances. We’ve created recycling programs in our facilities worldwide, and by constantly seeking to improve our processes, reduce waste, and improve energy efficiency, we’re reaching our goals.

Here are some of the most important milestones in our quest for environmental responsibility:

1995 - Peterbilt’s environmental policy released and implemented.

2007 - First Peterbilt manufacturing site (Nashville, TN) is ISO 14001 certified.

2008 - All Peterbilt manufacturing sites ISO 14001 certified worldwide, signifying that Peterbilt has a structured environmental management system in place to manage the environmental impact of our operations.

2009 - Zero Waste to Landfill goal attained.

2009 - Consecutive Clean Air Champion Awards from the Clean Air Coalition.
