PETERBILT SHOWCASES MODEL 567 SFFA AT WORLD OF CONCRETE
DENTON, Texas (January 29, 2016)
Peterbilt Motors Company will showcase three ready-to-work Model 567 mixer trucks configured with set-forward front axles during the 2016 World of Concrete in Las Vegas. Peterbilt is exhibiting at the show – which runs from February 2-5 – in booth C5172.
Peterbilt introduced the Model 567 SFFA last year with full production beginning in July. It is the industry’s newest set-forward front axle vehicle and features modern, distinctive Peterbilt styling. The set-forward front axle configuration provides customers with optimized weight distribution to maximize payloads while helping meet state and federal bridge law requirements. The Model 567 SFFA is ideal for mixer and other weight-conscious applications.
The SFFA configuration joins Peterbilt’s Model 567 set-back front axle, the company’s popular vocational truck and tractor that features exceptional maneuverability and versatility. Like the set-back axle version, the Model 567 SFFA is available in both 115- and 121-inch BBC lengths. The 115-inch BBC has a bumper to front axle distance of 29 inches and the 121-inch BBC has a bumper to front axle distance of 31 inches.
“The Model 567 SFFA is carefully engineered to let customers maximize payloads while helping meet state and federal bridge law requirements,” said Robert Woodall, Peterbilt Assistant General Manager of Sales and Marketing. “The Model 567 is a low-weight leader and this new configuration will let customers take full advantage of that through optimized weight distribution."
The three Model 567s on display at World of Concrete are powered by PACCAR engines. The Model 567 is standard with the PACCAR MX-13 engine with up to 500 horsepower and 1,850 lb.-ft. of torque.
Two of the trucks feature the new PACCAR MX-11, a lightweight, fuel efficient 10.8-liter engine with up to 430 horsepower and 1,550 lb.-ft. of torque.
“The PACCAR MX-11 engine is a great addition to Peterbilt’s lineup of technologically advanced solutions focused on delivering the highest levels of quality, durability, performance, reliability, efficiency and overall return,” said Woodall. “The PACCAR MX-11 engine provides outstanding value in a lightweight and fuel efficient design, and will continue to exceed our high standards and our customers’ expectations.”
The Model 567 is available as a day cab or with Peterbilt’s complete lineup of detachable sleepers, including the new 58-inch sleeper.
It can be spec’d with a wide range of options to meet most every jobsite requirement and can be configured with single, tandem or tridem drive axles and a variety of lift axles.
The Model 567 is an industry leader in durability with a standard Metton hood that is highly resilient and can absorb many impacts that would shatter or crack other materials, and Peterbilt’s signature stainless steel oval mesh grille and surround, and the hood pivot system has a protection function that directs energy around the cooling module in the event of an impact.
Panoramic visibility helps improve productivity and safety, and the forward lighting system is a proven design that significantly enhances down-road visibility and reduces driver fatigue.
